HellCodex

Advertising

How HellCodex is funded, and what that funding can never buy.

HellCodex is funded by advertising. That money pays for hosting, tools and editorial time. It does not buy influence over what gets published here.

Who serves the ads

The banners on this site are affiliate advertising through Admitad (Admitad GmbH, Neckarsulm, Germany). They rotate between several advertisers: Alibaba.com, Geekbuying, Govee, Gshopper, Homestyler, Justfashionnow, Lenovo, Noracora, REDMAGIC, Stylewe, TTGO and Turbo VPN - in the language of the country you are visiting from, where the advertiser has banners in it. If you click one and then buy something there, we receive a commission; it costs you nothing.

The banner images come from Admitad's server. When a page with a banner opens, your browser fetches the image from Admitad, which counts the impression; that request carries your IP address and browser details, as any request to another server does. A click opens Admitad's tracking address, which records it so the sale can be credited to us, and forwards you to the advertiser. The privacy policy describes both.

No ad network that loads scripts is serving on this site. If one ever does, it is named here and in the privacy policy before its first script reaches you, and nothing from it is loaded until you have agreed to it in the privacy dialogue.

How it is labelled

Every advertising placement carries a visible Advertisement label above it, and none of them is styled to resemble an article, a card or a source citation. There is never an advertisement between a headline and its introduction.

What we do not sell

We do not sell rankings, positions in a list, or positive coverage. Sponsored sections, when they exist, are labelled as sponsored. Affiliate links, when they exist, are disclosed on the page that carries them.

No advertiser and no network sees an article before it is published, and none of them can have one changed or taken down. A trust state on this site — confirmed, rumor, outdated — describes the evidence behind a claim and nothing else.
