Blizzard plans regular Diablo V development updates from 2027
A two-year gap between announcement and cadence.
Alongside the announcement, Blizzard stated an intention rather than a schedule: development updates for Diablo V will be published regularly from 2027 onwards.
We file this as a developer statement rather than confirmed. An intention to communicate is not a commitment to a cadence, and no format, frequency or first date has been named.
Why the gap matters
With release targeted for spring 2029, that leaves roughly two years between the reveal and the start of regular communication. Historically, that quiet stretch is where unsourced claims harden into accepted fact.
Our release tracker records every step of the development timeline as it happens, including the silences.
