Demon Hunter
Discipline in the face of oblivion. A new generation steps from the shadows.
The Demon Hunter is one of the three classes Blizzard revealed when Diablo V was announced. The description given was deliberately short: two crossbows, mobility, and attacks launched from the shadows.
That is the entire confirmed picture. Everything else you may have read - resource systems, skill trees, a link to the Demon Hunters of Diablo III - has not been stated by Blizzard, and HellCodex will not file it as fact until it is.
What the class identity implies
Read alongside the rest of the announcement, the Demon Hunter is the class that answers a specific problem in Diablo V's world: Sanctuary has fallen, and there is no permanent safe city to retreat to. A class built around movement and distance fits a game where the ground itself can be different the next time you cross it.
This paragraph is analysis, not a reveal. Treat it as our reading of the material, not as something Blizzard said.
Where this page goes next
When the class is shown in gameplay - skills, resource, itemisation hooks - this page is updated rather than replaced, and the change is recorded in the page's own change log so you can see exactly what moved from unknown to confirmed.
