Monk
Body. Spirit. No chains. An ancient path returns to Sanctuary.
The Monk returns as a confirmed Diablo V class. Blizzard's description is two ideas wide: melee combat with fists, and holy power.
In a game whose central premise is that the High Heavens are now the target of an invasion staged from Sanctuary, a class that channels holy power is a pointed narrative choice. Whether that shows up mechanically - in damage types, in how corrupted enemies react - has not been confirmed.
What has not been said
Blizzard has not described the Monk's resource, its skill structure, or whether any Diablo III mechanics carry over. Diablo V's itemisation is openly influenced by Diablo II, which may affect how melee classes are geared, but no statement has been made specifically about the Monk.
Reading the silence
Three classes revealed does not mean three classes shipping. Blizzard has said more classes will be introduced later, without naming a total. Any list of "all Diablo V classes" that contains more than Demon Hunter, Monk and Plague Knight is speculation.
